Inspired by this pristine corner of Aotearoa, we created Still Waters Gin to capture its essence—infused with native botanicals, crisp alpine air, and pure, clean flavours.
Our gin reflects the character of the region, while our vodka—distilled seven times in handcrafted copper stills—offers exceptional purity and smoothness. Both spirits are crafted using water sourced from nearby glacial fields, enhancing their distinct qualities.

Site preparation and earthworks
Consents issued mark the official start of development at Waimarino Lodge. With approvals in place, site preparation begins with surveying, earthworks, and ground stabilisation. Excavation, levelling, and trenching are completed to lay the groundwork for essential infrastructure, including drainage, sewage, and electrical connections. The site is carefully prepared to ensure a solid foundation for future construction. This milestone sets the stage for the transformation of the cleared land into a luxury retreat, seamlessly blending nature with modern comfort.
JUNE 2025
Ground works and services complete
With earthworks finalised, the site is now fully prepped for construction. Trenches are backfilled, drainage and utilities are installed, and the ground is stabilised for structural integrity. Foundations are set, ensuring a strong base for the build. This milestone marks the transition from groundwork to above-ground construction, bringing Waimarino Lodge one step closer to reality.
MARCH 2026
Buildings closed in
The villas, owner's residence, restaurant, spa, and gym/yoga studio are now fully enclosed, with roofs, windows, and exterior finishes completed. The structures are weather-tight, allowing internal fit-outs to commence. With the framework in place, attention shifts to interiors, where high-quality finishes and bespoke details will bring Waimarino Lodge’s vision to life.
DECEMBER 2026
Lodge opens
With all buildings completed, fitted out, and beautifully styled, Waimarino Lodge is ready to welcome its members and guests. The villas, owner’s residence, restaurant, spa, and gym/yoga studio are fully operational, each space designed for comfort and luxury. Landscaping is complete, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Final touches ensure every detail reflects the lodge’s vision, creating an unforgettable retreat experience.
