Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions outline the rights, obligations, and benefits associated with Waimarino Lodge Memberships. By purchasing a membership, you agree to be bound by these terms.
- Membership Types and Overview
Waimarino Lodge offers three membership tiers:
- Villa Membership: $35,000 NZD + GST
- Residence Membership: $229,000 NZD + GST
- Corporate Membership: $129,000 NZD + GST
- Term
- Each membership has a 10-year term with unique benefits and inclusions.
- Membership Benefits
The membership/s grant members the following benefits under the conditions contained herein
- Villa Membership
- 20 nights stay in a Waimarino villa (2-person occupancy) total over the 10 year term
- Breakfast and dinner for a total of 20 nights at onsite KA restaurant
- Use of a luxury electric vehicle during stays – 20 days hire total
- Access to electric powerboats on Lake Wakatipu
- Access to the guest only KA Restaurant at the lodge
- Treatments at the Day Spa – 1 treatment per guest per stay (when using your membership night allocation), not valid for other stays.
- Use of premium mountain and E-bikes – 10 days hire
- 2 bottles of Still Waters Gin annually for the 10-year term of the membership
- Travel and excursion bookings support through our concierge
- Residence Membership
- 20 nights stay in a luxury Waimarino residence (up to 8 persons occupancy) total over the 10 year term
- Use of a luxury electric vehicle – 1 vehicle per stay
- Access to electric powerboats on Lake Wakatipu
- Access to the guest only KA Restaurant
- Treatments included at Day Spa – 4 treatments per stay (when using your membership night allocation), not valid for other stays.
- Use of premium mountain and E-bikes – 10 days hire
- 4 bottles of Still Waters Gin annually for the 10-year term of the membership
- Travel and excursion bookings support through our concierge
- Corporate Membership
- 80 nights stay a in luxury or premium villas (2 guest per villa - occupancy subject to availability) total over the 10 year term
- Access to electric powerboats on Lake Wakatipu
- Access to the guest only KA Restaurant
- 20% Discount on treatments at Waimarino Day Spa for members and staff - (when using your membership night allocation), not valid for other stays.
- Use of premium mountain and E-bikes
- 10 bottles of Still Waters Gin annually for the 10 year term of the membership
- Concierge support for travel, group bookings, and events
- Key Dates
- Membership Sales Launch: March 2025
- Development Begins: Q4 2024
- Booking Calendar Opens: 6 months prior to completion
- Lodge Opening: Estimated Q4 2026 (subject to change if delays are incurred)
- Membership Fees and Payment Terms
- The full membership fee is due within 5 working days of signing of the membership agreement, failure to do so can result in your membership being cancelled.
- Membership Termination and or Transfer
- Memberships are transferable if the holder is unable or unwilling to utilise the full benefit of the membership and only if the membership night allocation has not been exhausted.
- The member must request the transfer of the membership from the lodge which cannot be unreasonably refused.
- Waimarino Lodge takes no responsibility for the sale, trade or gifting of a membership.
- In the event of a membership being transferred the existing member is responsible for informing the lodge of the new members details include full name, date of birth and email.
- Booking and Accommodation Use:
- Member reservations are subject to availability. Early booking is recommended.
- Unused nights do not roll over beyond the 10-year term.
- Membership can only be used when member is a part of the booking
- Rates Post Membership:
The member can continue to stay at the lodge after all member nights have been used. After all nights included in the membership have been exhausted the member remains eligible for:
- 30% discount off advertised rates
- Complimentary villa upgrade when available.
- Additional terms
- Gin can only be sent to Australian and New Zealand members, due to import rules. Members from outside of these regions can take their gin home with them after a stay.
- Liability
- Waimarino Lodge is not liable for loss, damage, or injury incurred as part of this membership. Members are responsible for personal insurance and belongings.
- Changes to Terms and Conditions
- Waimarino Lodge reserves the right to modify these terms. Members will be notified of any changes.
- Force Majeure
- Waimarino Lodge is not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, or strikes.
- Membership Usage Restrictions
- Memberships cannot be resold or transferred for commercial use or commercial profit.
- Unauthorized events, weddings or commercial activities are prohibited as part of the membership.
- Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Refunds will be reviewed case-by-case in the event of force majeure.
- Member Conduct and Behaviour Policy
- Members and guests must behave responsibly. Misconduct may result in membership termination without refund.
- Privacy and Data Protection
- Waimarino Lodge will protect personal data and comply with relevant privacy laws.
- Termination by Waimarino Lodge
- Waimarino Lodge reserves the right to terminate memberships for breaches of these terms.
- Dispute Resolution
- Disputes will be resolved through negotiation and failing that mediation.
- Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
- Communications and Notices
- All communications will be sent to the email address provided during registration. Members must ensure their contact details remain current.
Please Note – while some promotional material shows a distillery on the Waimarino Lodge Site, due to unforeseen consenting restraints this building has had to be removed from the property. There will be no distillery on the site. Gin will be manufactured and supplied from an offsite facility.
